Current Challenges in Youth Work: Mental Health & Democratic Challenges

In dialogue  with partners and participants from previous projects it turned out  that there are currently two relatively new challenges in youth work in the three participating countries Estonia, Finland and Germany.

The first one is the topic  of democracy education due to an  uprise of right wing parties  in several European countries and the challenges  for youth workers within  these political developments.

The second topic is Mental Health. Especially after the Covid pandemic, it became apparent, that Mental Health is an  important issue in youth work. Youth workers and youth leaders have to  deal more with this topic and young people are more aware of their mental health and express needs.

We are planning to work on these topics in workshop sessions, reflection units and visits to relevant experts and/ or institutions in this  areas.

The participation is free of charge and travel costs will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ standards.

The program is currently developed with the partners. Participants will be involved in the planning process, once they have joined the project.
